Audio was perfect prior to that update. The output will vary from normal, to crackling, to distorted, to the stuck "machine-gun" sound if and only if I change the audio volume up and down. This is the same across all sound sources. Audio card is cs46xx based hercules game theater XP. Running latest Karmic.
