Public bug reported: Hi!
I'm using Network Manager 1.2.6-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 to connect to the WPA2-Enterprise SSID with PEAP-MSCHAPv2. I'm able to connect to it using WPA2-EAP ok, but as I know, Network Manager uses wpa_supplicant supporting FT-EAP, but this option is not available in the Network Manager. FT stands for the 802.11r Fast Transition, which allows client to be "pre-authenticated" to the AP it targets to move to, thus facilitating inter-AP transition time (i.e. downtime) to be much lower in WPA2-Enterprise networks. This functionality is critical in the modern 802.11 networks. Please, add this support to the Network Manager. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: 802.11r fast transition -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to network-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1689785 Title: Add FT-EAP to the Network Manager Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Hi!
