> 1. It sounds like this used to work? Was it working on 16.04 and only recently broke?
I'm not sure. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't work, it won't until the next reboot. And I'm not sure it didn't happen before. It may have been less frequent for "random" reasons. Or it *may* have broken recently, I don't know. Hibernation has NEVER worked well (I guess that's why it is not made readily available through the main menu), it has a number of other issues. I AM using 16.04 right now. > 2. What model is your hardware? Acer Aspire V3-571G > 3. Did you recently update the system BIOS? Nope > Are you running the latest? No, because I would need Windows to update it. $ sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date V2.07 10/15/2012 ** Changed in: pm-utils (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to pm-utils in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1680750 Title: pm-hibernate does nothing at all Status in pm-utils package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I have run from a command line: # sudo pm-hibernate and NOTHING f***ing happens.
