It happens on Fedora 25 (10.0-2.fc25) and openSUSE tumbleweed (can't have access to that PC right now), both running KDE Plasma desktop (5.9.5). When the headphones are unplugged, sound is NOT automatically switched back to the speakers. This bug started happening on my system after I upgraded from 14.04 to 15.10 so it is a regression.
