Actually, scratch that. I never tried the mic port until today (didn't have a mic). The crackling is present as reported by others. In 5.2.9, there is a different kind of distortion when using a usb webcam's mic for input + onboard sound card for output on steam voice chat. Already tried all workarounds possible, no luck. Only with my desktop with this particular motherboard.
