Title:
  Soundcard not detected

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04 and the sound card is now not found

  im 99% sure that im using via82xx

  ive tried purging and reloading, and also recompiling ALSA as
  suggested on a few forums but still the sound hardware does not show
  up
