Title:
[IDT 92HD71B7X] ALSA test tone not correctly played back

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
After booting up, sounds works fine, but after some period of time,
  eventually becomes silent.

Some weeks ago, a reboot fixes sound ouput, but from today on, rebooting does
not help anymore. Sound does nothing, not in VLC, Rhythmbox,... and also not in
the Terminal aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Left.wav
Playing WAVE '/usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Left.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little
Endian, Rate 48000 Hz, Mono

  aplay -l output
