This happened after I turned off the mouse to clean my laptop and then
turned it back on using the keyboard combination Fn + F5. I restarted my
computer and weirdly enough the mouse seems to be working just fine (I
can move it) on the login screen. But as soon as I'm logged in, the
problem is back.

Actually, I just realized that my description in the summary isn't
precise because I can when I click in the text field I'm able to move
the mouse while keeping the left mouse button pressed. I can't right
click either.
