Title:
  [Realtek ALC272X] Recording problem

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
My external mic is not picking up any sound through the mic jack. This
problem does not occur in windows, and is limited to Ubuntu. In
windows my mic works great, so this is not a microphone issue, this is
a driver issue not picking up my microphone jack. Please fix this
issue as I cannot use skype or any other voice chat software without
the functionality of my mic. I have an Acer Aspire 5517, and this
issue seems to be common with Aspire models. I hope I am pointing out
something useful to you about a model of laptop that tends to have
this issue. Again, please solve this issue
