Title:
[HDA-Intel - HDA Intel, playback] No sound at all for SigmaTel
CXD9872AKD
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
The Sony VGN-AR320E (http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-
home.pl?mdl=VGNAR320E) has been tested with Ubuntu 12.10. There is no
audio playback.
To fix this issue, I had to append to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
options snd_hda_codec_idt index=-2
Here is the alsa-info output for this sound card,
http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=2691309d5c9200391a1bd7046386c969b2b0bc28
Is it possible to add the above instructions to Alsa so that no
special configuration will be require for this sound card?
I would like to thank Learner for helping me fix this issue at the Ubuntu-gr
forum,
