Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Sound from my headphones disappears when the volume slider is around
  30% along.

A look at alsamixer in the terminal shows the PCM value is 0<>0 on the audio

PCM is at 100<>100 or Item: PCM dB gain: -0.06, -0.06
The slider is at 30% or so volume when I cease hearing anything and the PCM
is at 0<>0 or Item: PCM dB gain: -28.19, -28.19.
