Public bug reported:

Expected
--------
If I plug in a 3-contact TRS microphone, PulseAudio should show it as a plugged
in microphone.

Actual
------
Pulse Audio still reports the "Headphones Stereo Microphone" as unplugged. The
meter shows no signal. The main output changes its Port form "Speaker" to
"Headphones (plugged in)" and the speakers are muted.

Additional Information
----------------------

Microphone Model: König CMP-MIC8 (https://www.amazon.de/Konig-CMP-MIC8
-Mikrofon-mit-Kabel-Schwarz/dp/B000WGW96K?language=en_GB). It features a
3-contact, TRS plug. It is the same plug as for a standard stereo
headphone. The microphone worked on another Windows PC and a Zoom H5
pocket recorder. It requires plug-in power.

A 4-contact TRRS headset works as expected (speakers are muted,
headphone output and microphone input are enabled, microphone meter
shows input signal).
