Then suddenly the screen started flickering. I tried PCLinuxOS but the screen just goes black. I found, on Ubuntu, installing brightness-controller and putting the screen brightness down below half way and the setting to Clear Blue Sky helps quite a lot but is hard to see. It still flickers once in awhile. And I cannot create a file in /sys/class/backlight to make the change permanent on boot. The only major change I can think of is setting LivePatch up that could have caused the flickering. Thank you, I hope you find the fix as no Linux distros will work on my ThinkCentre desktop PC.
