Title:
no signal to external monitor from HDMI port

Status in mutter package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
On fresh installation of Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS with and without latest updates
there's no HDMI signal to external monitor. No display , no picture, no
detection at all.
The hardware is functional under Windows the HDMI port is working.
What I've managed to research is some problems with Intel 12th gen CPU GPUs
drivers where other user have similar problem. Some sources mention Wayland
protocol as part of the problem but cannot clarify how reliable that is. Tried
changing display protocols on login but it didn't help.
