Thanks for the bug report. If you can then please try a USB-C monitor cable, you should be able to find one that is HDMI on the other end. That will allow you to avoid running the signal through the Nvidia card and should provide a better experience.
Please also try selecting 'Ubuntu on Wayland' from the login screen. Though that will only provide the best performance if you're using USB-C instead of the HDMI port in this case. ** Summary changed: - Conflict notification + Secondary display goes black ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => ubuntu ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2076165 Title: Secondary display goes black Status in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I use two display, When I turn on notification for team and slack, same time I use dbeaver-ce, any time team or slack have message and push notification, dbeaver-ce became lagging, and after several time, the second display has no any response, it's block, I have to plug off hdmi and re plug-in, after that, I have to turn off notification of team and slack and all app in order to work smoothly ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 24.04 Package: xorg 1:7.7+23ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 6.8.0-39.39-generic 6.8.8 Uname: Linux 6.8.0-39-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_modeset nvidia .proc.driver.nvidia.capabilities.gpu0: Error: path was not a regular file. .proc.driver.nvidia.capabilities.mig: Error: path was not a regular file. .proc.driver.nvidia.gpus.0000.01.00.0: Error: path was not a regular file. .proc.driver.nvidia.registry: Binary: "" .proc.driver.nvidia.suspend: suspend hibernate resume .proc.driver.nvidia.suspend_depth: default modeset uvm .proc.driver.nvidia.version: NVRM version: NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 535.183.01 Sun May 12 19:39:15 UTC 2024 GCC version: ApportVersion: 2.28.1-0ubuntu3 Architecture: amd64 BootLog: Error: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/var/log/boot.log' CasperMD5CheckResult: pass CompositorRunning: None CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Tue Aug 6 17:11:21 2024 DistUpgraded: 2024-06-19 22:04:40,682 DEBUG migrateToDeb822Sources() DistroCodename: noble DistroVariant: ubuntu ExtraDebuggingInterest: No GraphicsCard: Intel Corporation TigerLake-H GT1 [UHD Graphics] [8086:9a60] (rev 01) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Lenovo TigerLake-H GT1 [UHD Graphics] [17aa:22e4] NVIDIA Corporation GA104M [GeForce RTX 3070 Mobile / Max-Q] [10de:249d] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Lenovo GA104M [GeForce RTX 3070 Mobile / Max-Q] [17aa:22e4] InstallationDate: Installed on 2023-12-31 (219 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 23.10.1 "Mantic Minotaur" - Release amd64 (20231016.1) MachineType: LENOVO 20Y50013US ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-6.8.0-39-generic root=UUID=79ddf9dd-23d0-41b5-80a8-6f98f041d2e3 ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 SourcePackage: xorg Symptom: display UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to noble on 2024-06-19 (48 days ago) dmi.bios.date: 05/07/2024 dmi.bios.release: 1.28 dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO dmi.bios.version: N40ET46W (1.28 ) dmi.board.asset.tag: Not Available dmi.board.name: 20Y50013US dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO dmi.board.version: SDK0J40697 WIN dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Information dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO dmi.chassis.version: None dmi.ec.firmware.release: 1.18 dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvrN40ET46W(1.28):bd05/07/2024:br1.28:efr1.18:svnLENOVO:pn20Y50013US:pvrThinkPadX1ExtremeGen4i:rvnLENOVO:rn20Y50013US:rvrSDK0J40697WIN:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrNone:skuLENOVO_MT_20Y5_BU_Think_FM_ThinkPadX1ExtremeGen4i: dmi.product.family: ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4i dmi.product.name: 20Y50013US dmi.product.sku: LENOVO_MT_20Y5_BU_Think_FM_ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4i dmi.product.version: ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4i dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO version.compiz: compiz N/A version.libdrm2: libdrm2 2.4.120-2build1 version.libgl1-mesa-dri: libgl1-mesa-dri 24.0.9-0ubuntu0.1 version.libgl1-mesa-glx: libgl1-mesa-glx N/A version.nvidia-graphics-drivers: nvidia-graphics-drivers-* N/A version.xserver-xorg-core: xserver-xorg-core 2:21.1.12-1ubuntu1 version.xserver-xorg-input-evdev: xserver-xorg-input-evdev N/A version.xserver-xorg-video-ati: xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:22.0.0-1build1 version.xserver-xorg-video-intel: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.99.917+git20210115-1build1 version.xserver-xorg-video-nouveau: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 1:1.0.17-2build1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2076165/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
