Public bug reported:
I am using kubuntu 24.04. Yesterday I ran a system upgrade, and then
installed libpulse-dev:i386 and rebooted. The GUI failed to start, and
wifi and ethernet devices we undetectable. I ended up doing a fresh
installation of kubuntu 24.04. I installed a large number of packages
without issues, then installed some 32-bit ones. After installing
libpulse-dev:i386, the next package install command I ran failed on
network errors. The wifi had not only disconnected but the device was
not detectable. This time the system is unbootable even to a command
line.
I can still retrieve logs, but tomorrow I will need to reinstall again
so those will be lost.
** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu)
