Two latest installed kernels are expected to be 'actual active' ones, not
'obsolete' like 'synaptic' shows. Or that setting should be set by the user
depending on his wish.
This often happen with the devlopment ubuntu release, where there is not
several kernels yet (genuine, proposed, security)

So voting to get 2 latest kernels not removed when 'autoremove' is ran.

Title:
autoremove kernel management leaves one single kernel

Status in apt package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
After a kernel upgrade, autoremove removes kernel -2
  This is normal.
  BUT :
If, a new update/full-upgrade is entered, apt suggests an autoremove for
kernel -1
If one performs the autoremove, it leaves the system with a single kernel :

  :~$ dpkg -l | grep -Ei "linux-headers|linux-image"
  ii linux-headers-3.19.0-15 3.19.0-15.15

By the way, autoremove also leaves a bunch of rc files that need to be wiped
with :
  dpkg --list |grep "^rc" | cut -d " " -f 3 | xargs sudo dpkg --purge

Having a single kernel is highly uneasy !
