  Quirky session behavior w/ systemd from ppa:pitti/systemd

Bug description:
  Using systemd from ppa:pittti/systemd, I'm experiencing quirky session
  behavior such as not being able to reboot or shutdown due to gnome-
  session wanting interactive authentication.

  Here are the requested outputs:
