Christopher, I am not that well educated in the functions / operations of Linux / Ubuntu to attempt this. I fear that if it doesn't work I will lose a lot of information that I presently cannot back up. If I were more knowledgeable I'm sure I would feel more comfortable trying this but I'm still learning and I am unfamiliar with Kernels.
