At present the SBS on the Touch only scans one external device. So it will read the USB drive *or* the SD card, but not both. Whichever is connected first is treated as the device with the music library. If both are attached when the Touch boots it chooses one -- I'm not sure which it chooses, but I would expect it to default to the USB drive. To switch them you would need to physically insert or remove one of the storage devices.
