No, because in that scenario the Touch is connected to its own server,
you don't need the Squeezebox Server on your laptop in this case.

However, you can install 'SqueezePlay'
(http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.5) on your laptop and
connect that to the Touch's server, too. You can then use it as a
remote control, its user interface is (almost) identical to that of the
Touch itself.
