I played a bit with my Touch today to modify the NowPlaying screen to better suit my fat fingers - I made the buttons the same size as the Home button, and got rid of the Shuffle and Repeat buttons.
Attached is a Zip file with the patch necessary (or just the changed LUA file), as well as 2 modified PNG files for the skin.
