I'm also very interested in this! Any electrolytic cap in the signal path is bad for sound quality. The best would be no cap at all, but a small DC across an input switch will produce pops and clicks when changing inputs. I've bypassed the output caps on my SB2 and use a DIY interconnect with polyprop caps in series with the signal. The improvement is quite dramatic in some respects.
