Today, only a handful of manufactures have products on the market with USB 3 interfaces. It will take some time before the USB 3 standard will be widely spread. Keep in mind that not all devices need the performance of USB 3 and for many applications USB 2 will do just fine. Many OSs have yet to provide support for USB 3. As already mentioned, it is backwards compatible too. For a streaming application such as the Touch, I guess USB 2 standard will be sufficient as well.
