I think one always needs to listen to speakers and its hard to just pick one by looks or spec's off the Internet.
I own a pair of AudioEngine A5s and used them at the cabin Memorial weekend and in the garage this weekend, both times with the Touch. They work really well with a Duet, Touch, or SB3 in many environments. And in some cases could replace a Receiver and speakers up to the point where a room gets to large. Not having heard the Blow4D, all I can say is that the AE A5s are less money in the States and have a 5 inch Kevlar woofer which might equal better bass vs the Blow4D. For more money, you might also want to look at the Adam Model 7 or the smaller cheaper Model 5. The Model 7 has decent bass for a monitor speaker and killer highs due to the ribbon tweeter. One more thing about the AE A5s is the 30-day audition, if you don't like them, return them. -- iPhone *iPhone* Media Room: Transporter, VTL TL-6.5 Signature Pre-Amp, Ayre MX-R Mono's, VeraStarr 6.4SE 6-channel Amp, Vandersteen Speakers: Quatro Mains, VCC-5 Reference Center, four VSM-1 Signatures, Video: Runco RS 900 CineWide AutoScope 2.35:1 Living Room: Duet, ADCOM GTP-870HD, Cinepro 3K6SE III Gold, Vandersteen Model 3A Signature, Two 2Wq subs, VCC-2, Two VSM-1 Kitchen: Squeezebox BOOM Bedroom: Second Boom Bathroom: Squeezebox Radio Ford Thunderbird: Duet, Mac Mini Ford Expedition: SB Touch, USB drive ------------------------------------------------------------------------ iPhone's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13622 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79438 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
