I have been using 3 - 1TB WD Caviar Green HD's in generic USB external
cases with their own AC with success for over a year. Although Caviar
Green drives are not supposed to be fast and/or quiet according to
other people, I have found them to be very quiet and have no issues
using them with both my Touch and SB3 Classic on my wireless N network.
>From a cost perspective I get a lot of bang for my buck when using them
only for my dedicated music server(Dell Quad Core) distributed multi
room wireless house network. Each drive runs me well under $100 with
case included.

For information's sake I have about 1600 CD's with around 12,500 songs
and growing each week. Just another look at it from someone who's been
a heavy computer audio user for well over 3 years now.

Regards,

Rootman
