BTW, I just tried it out and when using the remote interface the lines _do_ scroll. The line that is currently highlighted will scroll, but the others do not not. In the Touch interface there is (usually) no currently selected item, so there's no scrolling.
The real downside (IMO) to displaying the artist is that for single artist albums you don't need the information, and every line shows the same thing, which ends up just taking up a lot of unnecessary space.
