If the Sheva/Guru-plug is ruled out then the next step in low power
usage is http://www.fit-pc.com.

I did consider this for a while, but personally my storage requirements
are just a tad larger, and I would have to have external USB harddrives
connected.
So I choose to buy a atom based mini-ITX board and put it into an old
PC cabinet I already had.

With the new Atom based boards you can get really low in power
consumption as well; now that the old 945 chipset is out.
The time of the plugs are over in my view, because with a mini-ITX you
also get many the options of a PC.

You can see some examples here http://www.mini-itx.com/store/?c=47
