Which "ready NAS" there is a lot of models ? from glacially slow to
quite good ?

Note the Squeezeboxserver 7.5.x or better is needed (sugest 7.5.2
official is 7.5.1).

"Slow" is very personal and subjective and can depend on file formats
size of collection, album artwork plugins etc.

It is usually the web-UI that takes the largest performance hit.

With a Touch it is handling of large playlists and updating artwork on
screens that will suffer most in my experience .

There is some things a non x86 machine can't do like transcoding.
