I doubt dropping will harm software - tends to bounce well ;-) You may well have loosened something on the board - and this could give some erratic behavior. If you are adventurous (ad this will void your warranty) open it up and see if any of the cards are loose.... Some of the folks on the DIY forum may be able to help with what is likely to be rattled and where to poke.
