Have you looked at logs on the server? The Touch and Radio have much larger buffers than the older models, which means if the server itself vanishes for a while, they can hide such dropouts longer, though they will eventually show up. So if you have a problem with AV software kicking in to scan things, the server may vanish just as a track plays, and depending no how much is buffered it may or not be audible.
