Hmm is port 3483 tcp and udp open in both machines that have a server installed ? it's the "server discovery" function that needs that port.
Also I think thing should be on the same network and subnet for server discovery to work properly ? Can you describe your network in greater detail it might be easier to understand your problem then . 2 pc and 2 squeezeboxes are they wired or wireless? what routers and switches are involved ?
