Heh, heh. I was trying to convince myself to try some "expensive" cables of the Cat7 or 6 variety, irritated by occasional noise issues. Then I told myself I had to come here to clear my head. I bought the sub-$1 cable at Monoprice. Oh, it's still Cat6, but I think it was 76 cents.
