You don't have to install the updates. You can swipe the screen from left to right to refuse an update. If you don't install an update from the server, you shouldn't receive a notification more than once per day.
If you're running 7.6 and you connect to mysqueezebox.com and get prompted to install a 7.5.x firmware, always refuse it. There are also options at Settings > Advanced > Software Updates to turn off the local server based updates and notifications (although it won't disable any notifications you get through mysb.com). Remember that you're running beta software on the server, so not keeping the Touch's firmware somewhat up to date could mean unexpected compatibility issues at some point. -- JJZolx ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86602 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
