Furthermore, SBS determines what is "new music" by the datestamps on the
files. So, for example, you could copy some old files into your music
library, and SBS may not consider them new, even though they are new to
your library. On the other hand, if your tagging program changes the
datestamps when you edit tags (in good tagging programs this is an
option that can be turned on or off), a file may suddenly be considered
"new" just because you edited tags. Overall it's a sensible method, but
if you don't know how it works it can produce some surprises.
