As Phil says, any mixture of players works. But you should note that to
set up the receiver you will need one of the following:

a) the SB Duet Controller (the "official" way to set up the Duet
Receiver), or
b) an Android phone or tablet running the SqueezeConfig software
(developed by a 3rd party), or 
c) the free Net::UDAP utility, which runs Perl commands from a
command-line interface on your pc.

I have used (a) and (c) to set up SB Receivers and they have worked
fine. Just yesterday I saw a report on these forums of someone using
(b) successfully. You should do fine with any of them.

If you plan on using (c), you should check out the details in the
related threads in this forum first. Many users find the Net::UDAP too
confusing/daunting and give up. I think you shouldn't have a problem as
long as you're able to follow instructions carefully, and check here for
help in case you get stuck somewhere.
