I have an issue with my Buffalo LS-VL1.0TL NAS. I'm running the latest NAS V1.4 firmware (this has squeezebox Firmware 7.5.1-r9218 embedded). It runs the server very well (30000 tracks and quite responsive, a huge improvement on the server built into the SB touch) but the server version is slightly out of date compared to the version used on mysqueezebox.com.
The effect of this is that the squeezebox touch player needs to reload the correct firmware every time I change from the mysqueezebox.com library (currently 7.5.4-r9408). to my media library on the NAS. I do this a lot gong from internet radio services to my media library. I think I need a way to update the NAS squeezebox server firmware independently of the version embedded in Linkstation's updates or I'll forever be playing catch up.
