Situation Touch with 8GB SD card, all Flac, properly tagged, 1 album + cover.jpg + folder.jpg , per directory. (153 Tracks, 17 albums, 13 artists, 11 Genres, 11:24:02 playing time)
This setup had been pretty robust on the Touch. (e.g power up, wait a bit, and ready to go, standalone) Ran OK on 7.6.0 r9458 firmware. I've been testing 7.6.1 nightlies due to fixes etc on some other PC's. Connecting the touch to theses libraries prompts for a software upgrade which I took. r9464 ( from memory) worked, and seemed to scan quicker than 7.6.0 However with the latest nighlies, software update prompted for r9468. Installed, however the now server always aborts with the "Local music service has stopped due to a problem" message. Followed the troubleshooting advice in the Wiki's But nothing in the logs :( Touch would still connect to and play with other servers / libraries , just no on touch server. Rolled back firmware to r9458 (7.6.0) via .bin file on root of SD card, so at least I'm not stuck if I want to use the touch stand alone. Any thoughts on what might have changed/failed ? Or anything else I can do to add more information for this data point? I now have a rollback to get me out of trouble so I'm willing to try the bad ( or subsequent ) firmwares. Let me know how I can help the effort to get a fixed / stable 7.6.1 for the touch.
