>From what you wrote, it may be a classical artwork issue, rather than a problem with the number of files. I've got 8k tracks, how many do you have ? Note that my artwork is regenerated and downsized to 500x500 / 80% JPEG from a script, so I'm guaranteed to only have very clean and straightforward JPEGs on the Touch.
