Symmetrical stones aside :-), it doesn't really matter what compression level you set for FLAC. No matter which compression level you set, the same decompressed data is generated at decode time. A higher number will result in slightly smaller files. As you increase the number, the amount of CPU (thus time) to generate the FLAC file goes up significantly. At the same time, the amount of decrease in the file size does not drop tremendously. You very quickly hit a point of diminishing returns. I use dbPowerAmp myself and have left the compression value set to its default value. -- maggior Rich --------- Setup: 2 SB3s, 4 Booms, 1 Duet, 1 Receiver, 1 Touch, iPeng on iPod Touch, SqueezeCommander on Xoom.
