Maybe the one thing that might help to avoid damage, is when the power goes out, to go ahead and unplug the Touch from the outlet. Then plug it back in once the power is restored. Might help avoid any power spikes at the moment the power comes back up. But yeah, I could see where that many outages would get old quick.
