fr8dog, If you are using either digital out from the Touch then the Touch's DAC is not being used.
I think what you are asking is "why can't the Touch's TinySC server just send the 24/192 file to my external DAC via digital out as it does with any other files on the Touch's USB or SD?". Confirm if that is your question.
