These are not real avr's, they have only analog video. 
Buildin dac wil only be used when you use the digital in, that's how I
understand.
So, if I understand you correctly it would be adequate to use a
"analog"  receiver. But your remark about loosing audio management I do
no get, but maybe you supposed dac was always on?
