Looks like the hosting provider I was using for the kernel has failed. 
Let me see if they can fix it otherwise I will move the kernel and
update the app.

Some background - I use google code for the applets, but they have an
annoying restriction that a project must all be the same opensource
license, so as the kernel is GPL and the applet is BSD, I host the
kernel elsewhere, but it seems to be down at present...
