You might also want to experiment w router placement.  My PC and router
are on the 2nd floor and there is a Touch on the 1st floor as well as in
the basement. I origonally had my router on a table near the PC. I then
put it on the floor which improved things but I still had dropouts. I
then turned the router on its side and rarely have problems now. I have
the floor marked w masking tape in case it accidentally gets moved.
