I like these routers: WRT54g, E1000 (WRT160n), E2000 (WRT320n), E3000 (WRT610n).
HomePlugs is the bee's knees. If they work for you, do continue using them. Is your mac wired (Ethernet)? If not, consider it. If it's a laptop, you might want to consider adding a stationary server which can be wired instead. Multiple wifi jumps (server -> WIFI -> router -> WIFI -> Touch) is known to be inefficient and make Squeezeboxen unreliable.
