Toby, Thanks for the suggestions on alternate Theater systems. I have been researching for a few weeks and find there is almost too much information to digest. After looking at reviews for both the Denon and Yamaha I think the Yamaha RX-V371 really delivers a host of great features for $189. I think I will go this route. Had a Yamaha receiver in the 70's which was solid and currently own a Marantz 2235B receiver which is my baby. Just can't give up on the old technology. However still need to upgrade for the theater experience. Also own the Logitech Squeezebox Touch so looking forward to a higher quality audio with an upgraded system.
On the speaker side your suggestion of the Energy Take Classic 5.1 also had excellent reviews for the price. One question: do you think there is any disernable difference between the Energy RC-Micro 5.1 and the Energy Take Classic 5.1. Both are priced at $399 on Crutchfield. The Micro's almost look too small but reviews are good on Amazon. Any thoughts would be welcomed.
