Squeezeboxes can certainly work flawlessly. Mine do. But use of
"tinyLMS" (playing TOUCH with connected USB) is touch and go and not
really ready for prime time. Use with LMS running on a PC or even low
powered PC or NAS is much better and less subject to issues. So even
though not using WIFI to access the USB attached files, the TOUCH just
doesn't seem to have enough horsepower. It can work for some people, but
often is problematic. Probably even worse when trying to use the TOUCH
as the server for other players.

Squeezeboxes are fantastic if one is (1) running LMS on a reasonably
powered PC, Mac, or NAS and (2) the local network is reasonably robust.
If one desires to leave the PC/Mac/NAS off some of the time, probably
best to use direct connection to mysqueezebox.com when local LMS is off.
You won't have local music, but you'll still have internet radio,
Pandora, etc. And you won't be trying to use the "tinyLMS" in the TOUCH.
If doing the latter, best to add the menu item "Switch to
mysqueezebox.com" to your HOME menu. I think it is initially in
SETTINGS > NETWORKING or somewhere like this. Once found, press and hold
item on TOUCH screen and a popup menu should offer the option to add to
HOME menu.

Good luck.
