And converting any lossles format to another lossles format introduces
no artefacts or problems of any kind ?

So it more of a nuisance problem not a real problem :-/ bleuh.
But good customer care would be to actually provide the formats that's
customers want's anyway, that and good tagging .
It's convenient and positive to get it just like you want it .

Wonder if HD-Tracks are so well staffed that they are actively involved
in every release , migth be the labels that upload their stuff. record
companies can act in mysterius ways ?
I suspect that they fear that some technologically challenged person
will complain if the files don't work in iTunes .
So they make sure that if any one just picks file type randomly it will
work in iTunes :)
