I assume you are referring to the Touch firmware update, not LMS 7.8? You may have been running LMS 7.8 with an older firmware on the Touch. Recently the Touch has called for a firmware update also called 7.8. The Touch refers to the update as a software update, which can be confusing if you're thinking it want's to update your LMS version.
